Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything;作者 Joshua Foer 是個記者,本書是講述他如何用一年的時間學習記憶術,奪得 2006 年的美國記憶大賽(U.S.
palace。
Ha ha. I once went to the supermarket to buy some OTC medicine for my kid. I picked up several household items and went home. The medicine was the only thing I forgot. Completely forgot. But then I found at home an unopened bottle of the medicine, bought some months ago. Maybe my subconscious was working, making me forget to buy the medicine to make right what I had done, that I forgot there were another bottle at home.

Looks like you enjoy having a bad memory!

The concept and method of "memory palace" seemed strangely familiar to me when I first read this post. Upon further thinking upon this, and, thanks to the Wiki link you had included, I am glad to recall that it is related to a beautifully done sequence in an episode "The Hounds of Baskerville" BBC's Sherlock (modern day reboot).

I think it will be fascinating to have people write down their imageries employed in their memory "maps" then share them.
Reserved the book from the library, will find out how it can help me, with my aging and dying brain cells.
